I have recently launched my screenprint series Agléonema with an edition of 25. Inspired by the movie Léon - The Professional, the serigraphy centers Léon's caring relationship to his plant which marks a contrast to his occupation as a professional killer.
Exodus 8:2
Exodus 8:2 is based on a film still taken from the movie Magnolia. During a surreal moment, the main characters observe a shower of frogs falling from the sky. This oilpainting was originated during the time of the pandemic and reflects the mood of this period between fear, disbelief and fascination.
About Me
My passion for art began early during childhood, when
the pencil was a constant companion to express my blooming imagination. Since I have been drawn to cinema and its production process ever since, it quite naturally found its way into my artworks when I became a professional painter.
Born in Munich I lived a couple of years in Sicily where I studied the traditional painting techniques at the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania. Following stays in Paris, Montreal and Heidelberg, I moved back to Munich to start a career in the auction market while pursuing my artistic path.
Art for me is a way to slow down, reflect and recognize myself.
